A fun, interactive class series for all ages!

Master the basics of note-reading and rhythm BEFORE you pick up that favorite instrument!  We divide and conquer on the recorder, while discovering a variety of styles and instruments along the way!  CLICK on the image (right) to  register!

How does learning the recorder help me play other instruments?

Understanding the progression of notes up and down the staff is important for all instruments.  The details of time signature, key signature, measures, rhythms, and so much more, apply to all instruments - including the voice! ALSO - the fingering and logic is similar to other wind instruments: covering more holes for lower notes and learning the concept of 'embouchure' (how the shape of the mouth produces different tones and notes).

Of course, the recorder is a respectable instrument in its own right!

Lucie Horsch is a professional recorder player!  Enjoy one of her videos from when she was just 12 years old: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDRwBNP9uU4.
