The pandemic hit us in March. We regrouped and started offering free online music classes in May. We continue to build on that jumpstart and success! With a maximum of 10 students per fee-based class, we now have 200+ students enrolled in group classes and private lessons!

A FUNdamental and interactive class covering the basics of reading notes and rhythm. With the recorder as a stepping stone, students build confidence and coordination before transitioning to violin, guitar, piano, flute, and any other instrument!
We offer a variety of teaching styles on piano for ages 4 through adult. Start with the notes CDE and grow from there! Beginner through advanced students learn classical, blues, rock, and improv!
Beginners learn basic chords, power chords, and rhythms. Music selections include gypsy, jazz, classical, rock, folk, and more!
Guitar Ensembles focus on multi-part compositions.
From beginner string classes to more advanced playing in City Strings, teachers and students enjoy a variety of styles while polishing technique.
Focus on technique and go in depth with music interpretation! Fun classes for all ages and levels to learn the basics, improve articulation, and express yourself!
Basics of stick and rhythm drumming using practice pads along with 'anything you can bang on' in your home!
Now is the time to hone your skills on your favorite wind or brass instrument! Pair up with a friend (or stranger!) for semi-private lessons, or dive right into private lessons with our experienced teachers!

Covering all of the Percussive Art Society Rudiuments - rolls, diddles and paradiddles! Hand-drumming options, as well.
PROVIDED: Drumsticks and Practice Pad! Thanks to a grant from the CA Arts Council and National Arts and Disability Center, we are able to provide drumsticks and practice pads for all registered students! Pick up days to be announced (City Heights and Poway locations).
BASIC classes are best for students with 1+ year experience in music. Tone production, technique, rhythm, and note-reading skills are emphasized.
The classes also offer a valuable supplement to private lessons, symphony rehearsals, and general practice!
INTRO TO THE GUITAR - fundamentals of practice, introduction to notation, open chords, moveable shapes, improvisation, 2-3 chord songs, and major vs minor structures.
CHORDS AND BEYOND - moveable shapes continued, open chords, 4-5 chord songs and progressions, intro to song writing, expanded rhythm for right hand, finger style fundamentals.
This class will focus on developing basic sight reading skills in first position. We will be using Essential Elements for Guitar Book 1. Experience required: basic chords and arpeggio (PIMA) patterns on the right hand.
This class will focus on developing technique and sight reading ability through repertoire and etudes. Experience required: tune instrument, basic rhythms, read treble clef and the notes of the guitar in first position, play rest and free stroke, and basic arpeggios for the right hand. Music will be provided by the instructor.
This class will focus on basic mariachi rhythms as well as introduce standard armonia rhythmic notation common to the profession. The student is expected to have basic chord playing abilities. Common chords are but not limited to G, D, A, E, C, Am, Dm, Em, A7, D7, E7, G7.
This class will focus on the development of technique and sight reading skills through repertoire and etudes. Students will learn to recognize, write, and perform common rhythmic patterns found in the mariachi repertoire. It is expected that the student be able to play in different keys and have an understanding of different meters as well.
This class covers all of the fundamentals in preparation for students to successfully dive in to the instrument of their choice with confidence and the ability to read music! Students must purchase their own recorder for this class. All other material will be provided.
PIANO with VICTORIA - Classes progress from playing songs with three notes (CDE) to reading all notes on the grand staff. Rhythm drills are layered with notes and chords for extra practice. All materials are available on Google Classroom with practice videos on select songs. See the Music15 Ala Carte page.
PIANO with NICO - Chords and Improv Level 1 introduces the Musical Alphabet, five finger scales, treble and bass clef, and hand placement. Level 3 develops an understanding of chord qualities, chromatic major scales, notation, and composition.

INTENSIVE classes offer a valuable supplement to private lessons, symphony rehearsals, and general practice! Etudes, shifting, advanced bow techniques, sight-reading, and ensemble playing are emphasized.

INTENSIVE classes offer a valuable supplement to private lessons, symphony rehearsals, and general practice! Etudes, sight-reading, and ensemble playing are emphasized.
This class is intended for beginners. Students will start by learning basic chords and simple melodies, often accompanied by upbeat tracks. Students will develop their musical ear and rhythm, learning to accompany themselves while singing various popular tunes throughout the ages. All materials will be provided online via Google Classroom and flip grid.
VOICE with LORELEI - This class is for all types of singers from beginner to advanced. Students will choose 2 songs to focus on from a list provided by Ms. Lorelei. During class we'll vocalize, sight-read, and study the repertoire focusing on healthy vocal production, intonation, rhythm, and artistry. "Karaoke" tracks will be provided for class and practice purposes.
